Silver Lining is a limited series created by @lucthevinylpainter specifically for Usher Gallery.
Luc is a Petaluma artist who repurposes beat up, unwanted and unplayable vinyl. His process involves choosing a song, putting it on repeat, and allowing the energy of that song to inspire the color scheme and the overall painting process.
The Artist's Insight into Silver Lining...
The pieces in this series were painted to my favorite songs from the album “You Don’t Mess Around With Jim” By Jim Croce. It was my inspiration for forming this series called “Silver Lining”. I believe the album tells a beautiful story about relationships.

Silver Lining... Timing is everything
This series tells a story of a relationship and how it comes full circle. Through these cycles, we gain new perspectives and grow so much as individuals. Even when things haven't work out how we expected, it’s crucial for us to trust the process. It’ll all work out in the long run, but it may be hard to see the bigger picture of the puzzle when all the pieces aren’t put together yet.
Learning and accepting this space between our expectations and reality is easier said than done but essential none the less for our growth. A silver lining is stitched into the edges of every situation. Sometimes, it’s very thin and barely visible. And other times, it's so apparent and bright that you couldn’t miss it even if you tried.
