This month we are excited to host artist Ethan McKeague and his show "Transitions: Pathways Through Adolescence"

Transitions: Pathways Through Adolescence presents a collection of paintings that chronicle Ethan's experiences as a teenager and young adult. The works draw inspiration from his involvement in the skateboarding, surfing, urban exploring, and graffiti subcultures. Each piece captures the spirit of youth- from late-night skate sessions with friends to adventures through Marin's creeks and tunnels. These moments, filled with camaraderie and exploration, symbolize more than just fun; they represent crucial phases of growth and self-discovery. For Ethan, these experiences of freedom are foundational in navigating the complex journey toward adulthood.

Ethan McKeague is a painter and printmaker based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His work captures landscape compositions inspired by scenery in California and reflects experiences from the subcultures of skateboarding and urban art. He has exhibited his work at the Kittredge Gallery at University of Puget Sound, the Thatcher Gallery at University of San Francisco, and at Art Works Downtown in San Rafael, CA.
